Homes For Our Troops
Several MAR members had a great time supporting Homes For Our Troops as the put the finishing touches on the specially adapted, custom Montrose home of Army 1st Lieutenant Nick Morris and his wife, Katie. Look for Morris, who was injured while on a resupply mission in Afghanistan in 2011, on his new mission to become the first amputee to climb all 53 of Colorado's Fourteeners, plus a few other notable peaks.
If you would like more information on how you can help support the mission of HFOT, visit https://www.hfotusa.org.
Will You Serve Those Who Served?
The affiliates committee is proud to announce that we have arranged a collaboration with Welcome Home Alliance for Veterans (WHAV) to assist with transportation during the 2019 “MISSION: NO BARRIERS WEEK.”
WHAV will be hosting 24 disabled veterans from around the country on an adventure week in Montrose. The veterans will participate in recreational activities and get a taste of all of the wonderful things that make our area a great place to live. Those of you who know Steve Baskis or his story, know that he was exposed to Montrose through Mission Week, and after his time here he chose to make Montrose home.
WHAV is seeking 30-40 volunteers to provide Uber-like rides to a Veteran, on:
Times and locations are to be determined.
If you would like to be on the volunteer list please contact Correna at firstname.lastname@example.org or 970-249-9131.
What a great way for REALTORS® to highlight the many qualities of Montrose

Check with your cell phone service provider to find out if you have a Mobil Hot Spot, and how to connect. Of course, when in Montrose, you can always stop by the MAR offices for free, safe, WiFi!
