RURAL PROSPERITY ROAD SHOW

The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade along with other agencies are hosting the “Rural Prosperity Road Show” stopping in Montrose, CO Thursday, July 11, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Montrose County Event Center.  They will provide information regarding various programs, funding and resources that state agencies and partner organizations offer.   • Legislative Policy Committee (LPC): LPC members are to review, prepare, and make decisions based upon legislation that will be or has been introduced in the 2020 Colorado Legislative Session (meet primarily January through May). Term Length: 1-year Term Begins: December 2019

  • CAR Political Action Committee (CARPAC): CARPAC members are charged with managing and distributing RPAC funds for local and state candidates and issues, supporting grassroots and lobbying efforts, and educating REALTOR® members on matters of public policy.   • NEW* Key Contacts Program: To assist CAR’s legislative advocacy efforts, CAR has created a grasstops lobbyist network to establish one REALTOR® as a Key Contact for each Colorado State Legislator. Key Contacts will be activated and called upon at strategic moments to help influence state legislators on issues impacting the Colorado Association of REALTORS®. CE Requirements

  • CREC Update: CAR requires all members to take an annual CREC update course for a total of 12 credits over each 3 year license renewal period.

  • Ethics: NAR requires all members take 2 hours and 30 minutes of Ethics between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2020, or be suspended until the requirement is met. ***Ethics classes taken before January 1, 2019 do not count for this cycle.
